ADULT DRIVERS EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Mr. D’s Driving School provides drivers education in the classroom and behind the wheel for adult students over age 18. We offer several programs that are designed to fit the needs of adult beginner drivers or for those that just need more practice in the car. Adults adhere to the same guidelines as teens with the exception that they do not have to provide proof of passing grades to enroll.

REQUIREMENTS: Adults age 18 to 20 must pass with a 70% or better in the 30 hour drivers education class with Mr. D’s Driving School in order to meet the State of Illinois requirements.  Students must have a valid permit or driver’s license in order to sign up for driving lessons.

COMPLETE ADULT DRIVING PROGRAM

This course is recommended for the New Driver. Drivers age 18-20 must now complete at least a six hour instructional class in the state of Illinois before being issued a drivers license. Mr. D’s Driving School offers a class which consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of Behind the Wheel instruction. First time drivers will begin in a parking lot where the instructor can evaluate the students skill level. Students will advance as their skill levels improve. The cost is $450 per individual.  REGISTER

ADULT BEGINNERS

This package is designed for the adult student who needs just a little preparation for the permit test and some extra Behind the Wheel (BTW) training. The student will start in a parking lot where the instructor can evaluate their level. Students will continue to advance as their skill levels improve. This package includes eight hours of classroom instruction and eight hours of BTW training. The cost is $450 per individual. REGISTER

BEHIND THE WHEEL (SAVER)

This program is designed to give the adult more practice in the car at a discounted price. This program includes six hours of Behind the Wheel Training (BTW). The cost is $350 per individual.  REGISTER

BEHIND THE WHEEL (HOURLY)

Hourly lessons are offered to the student who just needs a little preparation for the road test or extra work on a particular driving task. The cost is $75 per hour.  REGISTER

ROAD TEST

This is a package where one of our licensed instructors will accompany you to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and you will be allowed to use one of our company vehicles. A mutual time will be agreed upon and the test will be taken at the Belleville DMV. Students will be allowed to review prior to going to the DMV. Students must have a valid permit with their current address. The cost is $100 for a road test. REGISTER
